MISSION STATEMENT
The Empowerment to Personal Evangelization
course, a Franciscan ministry, will empower God's people by providing the tools necessary
to share the Good News, the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a gentle, non-threatening way.
Evangelization
IS the mission of the Church. Catholics are to come out of the pews and put on their
shoes. This clearly means that simply 'offering an evangelization class' as an item on the
parish 'to do' list is truly inadequate for what Jesus has called the Church to be and do.
We need to ask ourselves: are we preserving our faith or spreading it?
By virtue of our Baptism we have all been
anointed to share the Good News. We have all received His Holy Spirit. We are all to be
involved in the story of salvation. When we become ablaze with the fire of God, this fire
will help us to carry out the Great Commission to "go and make disciples of all
nations." Together we can share in this cause.
Go, therefore, and make disciples of all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you
always, until the end of the age. (Matthew 28: 18-20) |
